Overview

We are excited to launch Version 4.1.0, a significant update focused entirely on revolutionizing the Leave Management system. This release introduces powerful new features like Leave Revert and advanced approval workflows, alongside critical fixes for policy enforcement, gender-specific leave types, and a complete refactoring of the underlying leave architecture for enhanced performance and reliability.

New Features & Functional Updates

  • Leave Revert: Introduced a new functionality to revert leave approvals under specific conditions.
  • Enhanced Approval Workflow: Approvers can now add rejection remarks, mirroring the reconciliation process, which are visible to the employee.
  • Customizable Leave Types: Added support for creating and managing customized leave policies.
  • New Gender Inclusion: Added Other as a gender type for inclusive leave policy creation (e.g., Maternity/Paternity).
  • User Profile – Salary Management: Salary updates now support effective dates for accurate historical tracking.

Bug Fixes & UI/UX Improvements

  • Policy Logic: Fixed multiple complex half-day leave application scenarios to prevent invalid requests.
  • Approval Integrity: Resolved a critical issue where users could approve their own leave requests.
  • Data Validation: Fixed routing number validation to accept standard formats (N/A, ., etc.) without incorrect duplication errors.

UI Consistency

  • Added tooltips for Leave Sandwich policy and leave balance details.
  • Standardized all create modal titles across modules (Division, Department, Designation).
  • Implemented asterisk (*) marks on all required fields globally.
  • Corrected terminology: Exceed changed to Exceeded.
  • Notification: Fixed the issue where employees did not receive emails upon status update.
