PROJECT X Release Notes

Overview

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Version 2.0.0, a monumental release that marks a new era for PROJECT X. This update delivers a complete overhaul of the Task & Project Management experience with a redeveloped, high-performance Kanban board, introduces a self-service User Subscription system powered by Stripe, and brings significant enhancements to filtering, UI, and overall system performance.

New Features & Functional Updates

User Subscription Management:

  • Users can now purchase and upgrade subscription plans directly.
  • Fully integrated Stripe payment gateway for secure transactions.
  • Users have access to a detailed history of all their transactions.

Task & Project Module:

  • Projects to Boards: Converted the Projects module into a flexible Board view.
  • New Task Field: Replaced Assigned Start/End Date with a single, clear Task Deadline field.
  • Global Task Tracker Enhanced: Added display of total task count; subtasks are now expanded by default.
  • Kanban Board Redesigned: Completely rebuilt with smooth drag-and-drop functionality for tasks and phases.

Bug Fixes & UI/UX Improvements

  • Performance: Reduced Kanban board loading time by 10x.
  • Filtering
  • The overdue filter is now working correctly.
  • Implemented default sorting: Overdue (oldest first), Not Completed (closest deadline), Completed (latest first).
  • All filters are now independent and state is saved after page changes.
  • Removed unnecessary filters to streamline the interface.
  • Added a Milestone column to tasks.
  • Board deletion messages are now dynamic, showing the board name.
  • Replaced dropdown action menus with intuitive regular buttons.
  • Improved visibility of the task scrollbar.
  • Made task links hyperlinks for copy-pasting.
  • Dynamic and de-duplicated breadcrumbs.
  • Notifications: Fixed all email notifications for task assignment, completion, and overdue alerts.
